6.                     Discussion and Background

Pursuant to the Political Reform Act, the City conducted a thorough review of its Conflict of Interest Code and determined that amendments are necessary. At it’s March 12, 2024 meeting, the City Council directed staff to file the Local Agency Biennial Review Notice and, if necessary, prepare a resolution amending the Code for City Council approval.

Since the last update, new position titles have been created or eliminated and some existing positions have had title changes. Exhibit A to Resolution No. 11558 reflects the updates to the list of designated positions and their assigned disclosure requirements.
