6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
Amber Gregg Inc. provides planning consulting services to local jurisdictions. As part of those services, Amber Gregg, Inc. offers staff of various backgrounds and expertise to perform services that include the review and approval of plan checks pertaining to Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
Amber Gregg Inc. is currently managing 26 applications for the City and retains capacity to process up to five new applications for week. The services include 15-20 hours per week providing initial ADU application review, sending comment letters, meeting with applicants, responding to inquiries, streamlining the ADU review process, and reviewing revised plans and documents.
The City retained planning staff services from Amber Gregg Inc. in June 2022 to support the Planning Division during ongoing recruitment to fill vacant Planner positions.
