The initial agreement was for a three-year term, concluding on June 30, 2025. This agreement includes two optional one-year extensions, which can be exercised at the City Council's discretion. Staff recommend exercising the first extension of the agreement for fiscal year 2026, with a total amount not to exceed $47,619.

6. Discussion and Background
In June 2022, Common Area Maintenance Service, Inc., dba CAM Property Services, was awarded an agreement for sidewalk steam cleaning services. The agreement, Agreement No. 7379, was for an initial three-year term in the amount of $255,578 and included provisions for two one-year extensions, each valued at $85,193. The current initial term is set to expire on June 30, 2025. This proposed action represents the first of the two optional extensions.
The scope of work includes steam cleaning at select locations throughout the Orange Plaza including Plaza Park, trash compactor enclosures in each quadrant, and metal trash receptacles located throughout the Plaza. The agreement also extends to areas designated under the City’s Outdoor Dining Permit Program, which through participant payments, funds approximately 25% of the agreement. Additional areas also included in the agreement are the City’s Main Library, the Train Depot, and Yorba Dog Park.
The amendment amount reflects adjusted service frequencies that align with budget reductions for Fiscal Year 2025. The base cost requested for the first year of the extension is $43,290. With the addition of 10% contingency ($4,329), the total not-to-exceed amount for this extension is $47,619.
