6.                     Discussion and Background

On May 11, 2021, the City Council approved a twenty-six month agreement with Siemens for maintenance services piggybacking off a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process for the City’s access control doors won by Siemens. On October 24, 2023, the City approved an additional three-year agreement with Siemens which expires September 21, 2026. Siemens is the City’s current incumbent security integrator for the City’s Genetec security platform.

On July 14, 2026, the City Council approved an agreement with Triad Consulting & System Design Group, L.L.C. for security consulting services. Triad will independently monitor the overall health of the City’s security platform and oversee the performance of the security integrator.

Additional time is required to finalize and issue an RFP to competitively evaluate security integrators. The RFP will contain the Triad oversight component so responders will understand the oversight role and can propose accordingly.

Siemens has extended continuation of the current rate (no increase) for the three months.

The amendment will extend the services through December 31, 2026.
