DLT Solutions is a government solutions aggregator that provides access to a robust network of partners and delivers the latest software, technology products, and outstanding customer support. The citywide license will expire in July, and DLT Solutions is facilitating the City’s renewal of the Autodesk AutoCAD Single-user based subscription licenses through this one-year contract.

6. Discussion and Background
The Public Works Department and Community Services Department staff have been utilizing the software AutoCAD by Autodesk to produce and review construction plans. Currently, staff are using a combination of multi-user licenses with three-year contract license terms (13) and single user licenses with one-year contract terms (two licenses). In May 2025, Autodesk retired the three-year contract term. Autodesk is offering the use of two single-user licenses for a one-year term at the price of one license for customers who have multi-user licenses at a three-year term.
The City currently has 12 AutoCAD licenses and six Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) licenses through Autodesk that will expire in July 2025. The AEC is a package of various design software products which include Civil3D, an enhanced version of AutoCAD geared towards roadway and pipe network design. Civil3D is an essential tool for Public Works staff to create 3D design models and generate plan and profile views of roadway, sewer, water, and storm drain designs. Due to the advancement of software development, an AutoCAD license is no longer required for the AEC license to work. Thus, the number of AutoCAD licenses will be reduced to nine, and the number of AEC licenses will remain at six, all under single-user one-year contracts.
