4. Fiscal Impact
There is no direct fiscal impact to the City. The additional revenue received from the Orange Public Library Foundation will fund the expense for these services.

6. Discussion and Background
The Orange Public Library Foundation (Foundation) is donating $23,450 toward the purchase of computers and laptops for the public at the Orange Public Library & History Center as well as the El Modena and Taft Branch Libraries. A portion of these funds was donated during the “Raise Your Paddle” portion of the Foundation’s 2025 Mystery Author Panel & Luncheon fundraiser to support the Library’s technology needs. The Orange Public Library will publicize the Foundation’s contribution in a variety of ways, including signage as well as giving credit for the support on the Library’s website and social media. The Foundation will make a check presentation to the Library at the January 27, 2026, City Council meeting.
