Consider removal of Adrienne Gladson from the Design Review Committee

2. Summary
Orange Municipal Code Section 2.55.010 provides that members of City boards, commissions, and committees serve at the pleasure of the City Council. Unless otherwise provided by law, any member of a board, commission, or committee may be removed at any time, with or without cause, by a majority vote of all members of the City Council.
Ms. Gladson was appointed to the Design Review Committee by the City Council on November 12, 2024. Her current term expires on June 30, 2028.
At the request of Mayor Dan Slater, this matter has been placed on the agenda for City Council consideration. The purpose of this agenda item is to provide the City Council an opportunity to determine whether Ms. Gladson should continue serving on the Design Review Committee.
If the City Council determines that removal is appropriate, the position will become vacant immediately upon Council action. The vacancy will then be filled in accordance with the City's normal appointment process, including posting a Notice of Vacancy pursuant to Government Code Section 54974 (the Maddy Act). If the City Council does not approve the motion to remove, Ms. Gladson will continue serving the remainder of her appointed term, which expires June 30, 2028.
