2. Summary
Due to the resignation of Connie Benson, an unscheduled vacancy exists on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Committee. In accordance with Government Code Section 54974, a Notice of Vacancy was posted on July 16, 2026.
Mayor Slater has recommended the appointment of James Kushon, who currently serves on the Park Planning & Community Events Commission, to fill the vacancy on the CDBG Program Committee. Mr. Kushon’s appointment to the CDBG Program Committee would result in a vacancy on the Park Planning & Community Events Commission.
