Plans and specifications for the Replacement of Rolling Garage Doors at Fire Station 7 and Corporation Yard have been completed, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The total estimated construction cost is $440,748, including 10% for contingencies and 5% for construction engineering.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

1. Approve the plans and specifications and authorize advertising for Bid No. 25-26.12, Replacement of Rolling Garage Doors at Fire Station 7 and Corporation Yard (SP-4321)
2. Find that the project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, (Class 1, Existing Facilities).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The apparatus bay doors at Fire Station 7 and the City's Public Works Corporation Yard have reached the end of their service life and now require complete replacement. Over the past several years, the doors at both the Fire Department and Public Works Corporation Yard have experienced a rising number of operational failures, including intermittent or complete failure to open, creating significant safety concerns for emergency response personnel and impacting daily field operations.
