The Storage Area Network at the Police Department datacenter has reached its end of life and the equipment needs to be replaced. The replacement SAN, and accompanying five-year service plan, will provide significantly enhanced performance and additional capacity for the Police Department datacenter.

6. Discussion and Background
The City utilizes Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment in its Civic Center, Police Department, and Traffic Operations locations. Each of the SANs has a five-year useful life, expiring in various years, with an accompanying service plan, and the equipment is designated to act as a primary or backup system, to maximize data resiliency and protection.
Sidepath has provided pricing via a City approved cooperative agreement (NASPO# 23026, State Addendum #7-23-70-55-01).
The new SAN will provide significantly improved performance and includes five years of continued support.
