2. Summary
The City entered into a contract with R.E. Chaffee Construction, Inc. (Bid No. 24-25.12; Agreement No. 7838), to complete the demolition and removal of existing decomposed granite, concrete, chain link fencing and posts, turf, and miscellaneous structures scheduled for removal; modifying existing grade; removing and re-installing existing site amenities; installing new concrete and paver entry and seating areas; installing new chain link fencing and gates; installing new turf with irrigation, and re-establishing surrounding site and grading to pre-existing conditions. The work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Community and Library Services Department.
The total approved project budget for this phase of the Yorba Dog Park Improvements Project (257014) was $240,000.00. The awarded construction contract amount with R.E. Chaffee Construction, Inc., including approved contingencies totaled $233,200.00. The final construction was completed within budget at a cost of $214,017.05.
