2.                     Summary

The granting of this easement for utility purposes on City owned property will provide the necessary support for a customer-installed transformer to serve new businesses at 208 and 212 E. Chapman Avenue.

3.                     Recommended Action

Approve grant of a utility easement on City property in favor of Southern California Edison; and authorize the Mayor to execute the easement deed from the City to Southern California Edison.

6.                     Discussion and Background

Southern California Edison (SCE) has requested a utility easement for a customer-installed transformer to serve new businesses at 208 and 212 E. Chapman Avenue within a City owned parking lot.

The easement area will cover the structure the transformer sits on, the transformer, and primary line going to the transformer.

The City Council action is to authorize the granting of a utility easement on City property in favor of SCE, and to authorize the Mayor to execute the easement deed from the City to Southern California Edison.
