Bids for Annual Pavement Maintenance at Various Locations, Fiscal Year 2024-2025 were received and opened on May 15, 2025. Six bidders responded to the notice inviting bids. The apparent low bidder is Onyx Paving Company Inc. of Anaheim, California in the amount of $4,757,000.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

Approve the contract with Onyx Paving Company, Inc. in the amount of $5,946,250 representing an original amount of $4,757,000 plus a 25% contingency of $1,189,250 for Annual Pavement Maintenance at Various Locations, Fiscal Year 2024-2025; and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.

The expense for this contract is $5,946,250 and will be funded through Measure M2 (263), Gas Tax Maintenance (270), Capital Projects (500), and RMRA Road Maintenance Rehabilitation Account (274) respectively:

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Annual Pavement Maintenance at Various Locations, Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is part of the City's Pavement Management Program FY25 (13120) activities and is designed to prolong the pavement life of city streets.
