Appointment(s) to the Orange Public Library Board of Trustees.

2. Summary
Due to the resignation of Peggy Calvert, an unscheduled vacancy exists on the Orange Public Library Board of Trustees (“Board”). A Notice of Vacancy was posted on February 4, 2025, in accordance with Government Code Section 54974.
In addition, Mayor Slater recommends reappointing Rebecca Martinez to the Board for a three-year term expiring June 30, 2028. Ms. Martinez’s term is due to expire on June 30, 2025. She was not reappointed at the April 8, 2025, Council meeting. A Notice of Scheduled Vacancy was posted on April 9, 2025.

Confirm Mayor Slater’s recommendation to appoint Ariana Cazares to the Orange Public Library Board of Trustees to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2027; and reappoint Orange Public Library Board Trustee Rebecca Martinez for a three-year term expiring June 30, 2028.
