Informal bids for water quality testing services were solicited. Three bidders responded with the apparent low bidder Clinical Lab of San Bernardino of Grand Terrace, in the amount of $33,440.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

Approve the contract with Clinical Lab of San Bernardino in the amount of $36,784 representing an original bid amount of $33,440, plus a 10% contingency of $3,344 for conducting routine water quality testing services; and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
To comply with the State Water Resources Control Board requirements, the Public Works Water Division must complete routine water quality analytical testing of its water supply at multiple locations throughout the service areas on a weekly basis. These water samples are required to be analyzed by a State certified laboratory.
Through an informal bid process, the Public Works Water Division contacted and requested bids from qualified, accredited laboratories for these services. Four laboratories were contacted, and three bids were received as follows:
1. Clinical Lab of San Bernardino of Grand Terrace $33,440
2. Sierra Analytical Labs Inc. of Laguna Hills $36,800
3. Eurofins of Monrovia $41,712
One contractor, ALS Global of Irvine, was non-responsive.
