2. SUMMARY
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the City of Orange have agreed to fund additional Santiago Creek debris removal services and host community waste disposal events from November 2023 to June 2024. Caltrans has allocated a reimbursement not to exceed $130,000 for the City's efforts.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

Approve the Reimbursement Agreement with Caltrans in the amount of $130,000 for debris removal along Santiago Creek and to facilitate community disposal events for Orange residents under the Clean California Initiative from November 2023 to June 2024, and authorize the City Manager, or their designee, to execute on behalf of the City.

The total amount of $130,000 for this Agreement will be funded by the reimbursement received from Caltrans to the General Fund (100) in the following accounts:

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Clean California Initiative, led by Caltrans, focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of roads and waterways, job creation, and beautifying public spaces. A significant component of this Initiative is the proposed community disposal events, which enable the public to dispose of household waste and large items without any costs.
