Adoption of Resolution No. 11496 will enable the Orange County Transportation Authority to allocate funds from the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs in the amounts specified in the City's project applications
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

Adopt Resolution No. 11496. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange approving the submittal of improvement projects to the Orange County Transportation Authority for funding under the competitive Measure M2 Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
None at this time. If nominated projects are selected by the Orange County Transportation Authority for award, a future budget transfer and/or appropriation will be requested.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
In June 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11468 to approve the City's Local Signal Synchronization Plan (LSSP) as part of the Measure M2 Eligibility Process. The LSSP identifies traffic signal synchronization routes including all elements of the Regional (countywide) Signal Synchronization Network located within the City. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) issued a call for projects for Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program (RTSSP) to coordinate traffic signals across jurisdictional boundaries in the county.
