This agreement authorizes AGA Engineers, Inc. to provide signal timing and traffic engineering services on an as-needed basis.

Approve the agreement with AGA Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $60,000 for on-call signal timing and traffic engineering services; and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The expense for this agreement is $60,000 and will be funded through Traffic Improvement - Measure M2 (263) and Capital Projects (500) respectively:

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
On-call engineering contracts provide access to specialized services and enable staff to manage significantly more work than otherwise would be possible.
Staff previously solicited proposals using a Request for Qualifications/Proposals process for on-call traffic engineering services to augment the City's professional traffic engineering capabilities and to provide high quality, timely expertise and support where needed. As a result of that process, ten firms were selected by an evaluation committee to the City's bench of on-call traffic engineering consultants, including AGA Engineers, Inc. (AGA). AGA has demonstrated expertise in signal timing and other on-call traffic engineering services. The firm currently provides similar services to other public agencies in Orange County.
