2. SUMMARY
Neptune meters have been approved as the standard water meters in the City of Orange based on their accuracy, reliability and compatibility with our water billing system. Neptune Technologies 360 platform is needed to enhance remote meter accuracy and capabilities. Staff is requesting the authorization of an increase to the existing purchase order for Ferguson Waterworks in the amount of $85,000 for the Neptune 360 annual maintenance subscription.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The City of Orange Public Works Department Water Division uses mobile (radio read) water meters to gather water consumption data for the various water users in the City.
Neptune Technology Group, Inc. recently rolled out the Neptune 360 Data Management Platform to enhance the mobile meter reading capability. The platform allows the Water Division to collect more accurate water metering data faster while also enabling identification of potential leaks, excessive consumption, and reverse flow at the meters.
