2. SUMMARY
Award of a contract for the construction of structural improvements to the Dog Park at Yorba Park. The scope of work for the Capital Improvement Project, Yorba Dog Park Improvements (20521) includes the removal of existing decomposed granite, turf, fencing and posts, modifying existing grade and installing new concrete, paver entry, seating areas, new chain link fencing, and turf.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

1. Approve the agreement with R.E Chaffee Construction, Inc. in the amount of $233,200 for the Yorba Dog Park Improvements project (20521); and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.
2. Authorize the appropriation of $115,000 from the Park Acquisition (Infill) (510) unreserved fund balance to account 510.7021.56020.20521 - CIP - Building and Improvements.
3. Find that the proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines 15331 (Existing Facilities)

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The expense for this contract is $233,200 and will be funded through Park Acquisition (Infill) (510):
510.7021.56020.20521 - CIP - Building and Improvements
Upon approval of this appropriation, the estimated Park Acquisition (510) fund balance on June 30, 2025 will be $8,962,992.
