2. Summary
The project consisted of replacing aging sewer infrastructure, replacing pipes that are structurally deficient, improving pipeline capacity, and minimizing maintenance issues.
The project included the replacement of 6,189 linear feet of existing 6” sewer main with 8” main and 1,187 linear feet of existing 15” sewer main with 18” main. In addition, 625 linear feet of 24” reinforced concrete pipe storm drain was installed to accommodate the higher discharge volume from the Public Works Water Division’s future Well No. 29. The project also replaced 1,010 linear feet of 8” drain line that has been a constant maintenance issue with blockage and broken line in several locations on Denise Avenue. The City of Orange entered into a contract with Big Ben Inc. The work was completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department.
