On September 26, 2024, the Santiago Creek Commission held a special meeting to allow the public further time to comment on the proposed Santiago Creek Strategic Plan framework. With the framework now approved, the purpose of the October 23, 2024, Santiago Creek Commission meeting is to review the Santiago Creek Strategic Plan - Segment One area and map while also establishing its vision.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Santiago Creek Commission (SCC) is working towards establishing a Santiago Creek Strategic Plan (Plan) that will 1) coalesce previous planning records into one document; and 2) establish a vision and set of projects delineated by segment for the City Council's consideration.
The purpose of the October 23, 2024, SCC meeting is to:
1. Review the area and property ownership map for the Santiago Creek Strategic Plan - Segment One (Segment One).
2. Discuss and establish a vision for Segment One.
As a reminder, Segment One begins in east Orange within the City sphere of influence and ends at Villa Park Road (see attachment). By establishing a vision first, the SCC will create a focus/theme to guide forthcoming project recommendations that will be placed in the attached segment planning sheet. This same process will be repeated for each segment. For reference, provided below is a general schedule for each segment:
