The support agreement for the Civic Center and Police Department storage area network (SAN) expires on January 31, 2021. This agreement will extend the support agreement which includes technical support, software support and upgrades, and 24/7 hardware replacement, for one year.

Approve the agreement with SidePath, Inc. in the amount of $78,328 for the period of February 1, 2021, through January 31, 2022; and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.

4. Fiscal Impact
The total expenditure for this agreement is $78,328 and will be funded through Information Systems Operations (780).

6. Discussion and Background
Last year, the City upgraded the Police Department storage area network (SAN) which expanded its capacity. The purchase included software support as well as 24/7 hardware replacement with a guaranteed four hour response time. Hardware replacements include vendor installation and configuration in the event of a failure.
The support agreement expires on January 31, 2021. The City has 30 days after the expiration of the agreement to renew without incurring a reinstatement fee. This proposed agreement would extend support of the storage area network through January 31, 2022 at a cost increase of 1% over current contract.
