Adopting Resolution No. 11316 extends the City Council ratification of the Declaration of the Existence of a Local Emergency for an additional 60 days, unless terminated sooner by the City Council.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The fiscal impact associated with the City's response to the Declaration of the Existence of a Local Emergency due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is unknown at this time.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
On March 16, 2020, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11222, confirming the proclamation declaring a local emergency by the City Manager. The actions of the City Manager and the City Council are provided for under Government Code section 8630, however, City Council must reaffirm the local emergency at least once every 60 days.
As the State transitions into addressing various stages of the pandemic, the City continues to update and modify its response plans. As regulations and guidelines issued by the State and County continue to evolve and the necessity for City response still exists, there still is the need to continue the declaration of a local emergency.
