2. SUMMARY
On August 10, 2021, City Council authorized a purchase with National Auto Fleet Group for two 2022 Chevy Tahoes (5W4 package) for $130,525. Due to high demand and an industry wide vehicle shortage, General Motors terminated all 2022 Chevy Tahoe 5W4 order types without notice. Staff pursued various options, and the Z71 Tahoe will meet the needs of its users and is available for an increased amount of $24,362 for a total of $154,887.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure for this purchase is $154,887 and will be funded through the Vehicle Replacement Fund (720).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
Upon Council award in August 2021, General Motors terminated all 2022 Chevy Tahoe 5W4 order types without notice. After discussions with General Motors, National Auto Fleet Group, and the Orange City Fire Department, the Z71 Chevy Tahoe, which is available, will be an adequate substitute vehicle. The use of the Z71 Chevy Tahoe will increase the previously awarded vehicle bid of $130,525, by $24,362, for a new total of $154,887.
