This approval would simultaneously incorporate the affected segment of Wayfield Street into Permit Parking Opportunity Area 3, designate permit parking thereon, and allow adjacent residential properties to obtain parking permits.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

1. Modify Permit Parking Opportunity Area 3 to include Wayfield Street from Chapman Avenue to the first cul-de-sac north.
2. Approve permit parking on the same segment of Wayfield Street.
3. Approve Resolution 11539, A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange adopting a revised master resolution of designated permit parking areas within the City of Orange.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The City Attorney's Office initiated a review of the previously established Permit Parking Opportunity Area 3 (PPOA #3). Based on its interpretation of current applicable codes, it was determined in the best interest of the City to adjust the boundaries of PPOA #3 to also include Wayfield Street from Chapman Avenue north to include the cul-de-sac, as depicted in the attached Area Map. Concurrent with the above, it is also recommended that said segment of Wayfield Street be "activated" into PPOA #3 and designated parking-by-permit only.
Doing so would allow adjacent residential properties to participate in the permit parking program, which would potentially increase the number of parking permits issued within the permit area. However, the expansion of PPOA #3 to include the subject segment of Wayfield Street is expected to pr...
