Plans and specifications have been completed and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The total estimated construction cost, including 10% for contingencies and 5% for construction engineering, is $260,500.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure for this project is $260,500 and will be funded in La Veta, Collins, & Chapman Radar Feedback Signage (20328) through Reimbursable Capital Projects (550).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The City of Orange routinely collects traffic accident data for arterials in the City. Using that information, the Traffic Division, in collaboration with the Police Department, analyzes traffic accident records for trends in the data. In 2016, three arterials segments in the City were identified as good candidates for speed management by radar feedback signs:
* W La Veta Avenue from S Flower Street to S Bedford Road
* E Collins Avenue from Wanda Road to Bond Avenue
* E Chapman Avenue from N Equestrian Drive to Jamboree Road
