General Pump Company, Inc. is the approved maintenance and emergency services contractor for the City water production wells. This Second amendment, in an amount of $250,000, provides additional funding needed for the maintenance services and repairs during Fiscal Year 21- 22.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure for this project will be funded in Maintenance of Wells through Water Fund (600).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
In July 2018, the City of Orange selected General Pump Company, Inc. via a public bid process to provide maintenance services and repairs on an as-needed basis to the city's water wells. The original contract term was for three years with the option to extend for two more years at the city's discretion. The contract amount for the first year was $400,000 with a 2% maximum annual increase. The total contract amount for the first three year was $1,224,160. General Pump Company has completed the first three years of the contract satisfactorily, and was awarded the first extension via the First Amendment to Contract in July 2021 for a total amount of $424,483.20.
