Plans and specifications have been completed and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The total estimated construction cost including 15% for contingencies and construction engineering is $600,000.

4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure, including the 15% contingency, for the project is $600,000 and will be funded in Beverly Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation (30164) through Community Development Block Grant (310).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Federal Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) provides grant funds to enable eligible localities to construct public improvements in Low and Moderate Income Areas within their jurisdiction. Eligible activities include infrastructure upgrades such as street improvements. The proposed streets improvements qualify for CDBG funds and have been selected for rehabilitation. The street segments are:
Flower Street - Sycamore Avenue to Beverly Drive
Stevens Street - Cherry Street to Beverly Drive
Spruce Avenue - Eckhoff Street to Sycamore Avenue
Eckhoff Street - Spruce Avenue to Sycamore Avenue
